Genuity™ SmartStax™ contains Genuity™ VT Triple PRO™ and HERCULEX® XTRA Insect Protection traits to control root, stalk and ear-feeding insects, plus Roundup Ready 2 Technology™ and LibertyLink® herbicide tolerance for weed protection. Genuity™ SmartStax™ brings together eight different genes in top-performing hybrids, Genuity™ SmartStax™ combines the industry's best-performing trait package of herbicide tolerance and above- and below-ground insect protection into a single multi-stacked corn trait product.






Roundup Ready® Corn 2 contains in-plant tolerance to Roundup® brand herbicides, enabling growers to spray Roundup® brands over the top, from planting through the V8 stage or 30-inch corn height, with excellent crop safety and no yield reduction. Compared to popular conventional corn programs, the Roundup Ready® Corn 2 system costs less, while allowing hybrids to reach their maximum yield potential. While the U.S. regulatory agencies have given full approval to Roundup Ready® Corn 2 for commerce in the U.S. for marketing and consumption as food, food ingredients and feed for livestock, certain regulatory approvals are pending in certain export markets. YieldGard® Corn Borer corn hybrids contain an insecticidal protein from Bacillus thuringiensis (B.t.) that protects corn plants from specific lepidopteran insect pests. The YieldGard Corn Borer trait delivers whole plant, full season protection against European corn borer, southwestern corn borer, sugarcane borer, and southern cornstalk borer resulting in maximum yield potential. YieldGard Corn Borer corn hybrids also provide intermediate protection of corn earworm, fall armyworm and stalk borer. By providing whole plant protection against corn borers, the genetic yield potential of YieldGard Corn Borer corn hybrids is preserved.



Stacked trait hybrids such as YieldGard® Corn Borer or YieldGard® Rootworm or YieldGard® Plus with Roundup Ready® Corn 2 offer growers all the benefits of both traits combined in one crop. These hybrids exhibit the same insect protection qualities as well as Roundup Ready Corn 2 tolerance to over-the-top applications of Roundup agricultural herbicides. Managing these stacked traits requires a grower to follow the recommended management practices associated with corn containing each individual trait. Growers of these stacked trait hybrids must follow the same guidelines for establishing a refuge. YieldGard® VT Triple insect-protected corn combines the insect protection spectrum of YieldGard VT Rootworm/RR2© and YieldGard Corn Borer technologies and provides affective and consistent control of corn borer and rootworm throughout the larval feeding period.







LibertyLink® is the only non-selective alternative to Roundup Ready® in corn and combines high-yielding genetics with the powerful, non- selective, postemergent weed control of new Ignite® herbicide.
